Gal Friday is me, Leslie Jordan. I have over 30 years of combined administrative, organizing and care-giving experience in a broad range of settings. My diverse background has given me a versatile skill set including office management, client services, event planning, organization and compassionate care.
I spent the first 20+ years of my adult life working in a variety of roles for others. But, finally gave entrepreneurship a try and never looked back!
At first, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do. But I was really into organizing, had taken training in staging, and so one day I came up with the idea for a Professional Organizing business that specialized in move management. I was really good at it and enjoyed it immensely!
As a first-time entrepreneur, even with all my previous experience, I learned so much and gained a deeper appreciation for everything I’d learned along the way. Customer service, logistics, payment processing, negotiating, systems integration, website design, marketing, vendor relations, CRM, photography, shipping, buying and, most important, cash flow!
In 2014, things changed abruptly when our mom had her third stroke. I then spent the better part of a decade as caregiver to my incredible mom.
After that, and ‘all the things’, I couldn’t imagine going back to a conventional work life. I knew it was time to go out on my own again.
Today, drawing on everything I’ve learned and knowing that friends, relatives, former employers and clients have always relied on me for organized assistance with a variety of projects, I run Gal Friday Solutions.
Launched in the spring of 2024, Gal Friday Solutions allows me to use my unique combination of skills to effectively support my clients’ various needs, whether it’s for business or home.
I get to help people function more efficiently, with less stress, at work and home. I’m really good at it and find it very rewarding!
I live in one of the best spots in Toronto, ON with my Niall, where we enjoy incredible views of the city, lake and sunsets. I can even see a castle! I have three of the best siblings a human could ask for and friends I was always proud to bring home to mom. In my free time I love baking, puzzles, doing arts & crafts with friends, being outdoors and daydreaming of Tiny House living in Prince Edward County.
